Calcium-An essential mineral found in dairy products, vegetables, nuts and fish. Natural supplements are frequently derived from minerals, oyster shell and occasionally coral. Calcium is one of the most thoroughly studied nutritional supplements available. Studies have explored its use in treating a wide variety of conditions, including osteoporosis, bone mass density loss, hypertension, premenstrual syndrome (PMS), hypercholesterolemia, preeclampsia, lead poisoning, and colon and prostate cancer.
