Alendronate is a very effective medicine that alters the cycle of bone formation and breakdown in the body. Alendronate increases new bone formation and the density of bones. Alendronate is used to treat and present osteoporosis that is caused by treatment with a corticosteriod.

The US FDA has approved it in September 1995.

Each uncoated tablet for oral administration contains Sodium Alendonate BP equivalent to Alendonic acid 10 / 35 / 70 mg.
